NEW Pure Stock Weekly Payout and Protest Rule Announced!
After our first couple of races this season, the Pure Stock class has been showing us the numbers! As a result, we are paying them back with an increased weekly payout!
Starting with the April 22nd, 2017 weekly point races, the Pure Stocks will now be paid the following: 1 - 350, 2 - 175, 3 - 150, 4 - 125, 5 - 100, 6 – 85, 7 – 70, 8 – 60, 9 – 50, 10 – 15 – 40, 16 - 20 – 35. As with our other classes, if there are less than 11 cars for that sign in, the pay will start at second place.
Also with the Pure Stock class, there is now a driveline (engine, transmission, rear end, tires, wheels, brakes, shocks) protest fee of $175. This can be done by any driver who finishes on the lead lap of the A Feature and has run two consecutive weeks at Tri-State Speedway in that class. In the event that two drivers are protesting the same car, the driver who finished lowest and on the lead lap, will get to protest. The fee, in cash, must be taken to the tech man BEFORE the green flag drops. If your car's being protested, you will be told by track officials that you must report to tech immediately after your race and before going to the pit areas. If the car that is found to be legal, the protest fee will go to that driver for gaskets, seals, oil, etc. to put things back together with. If the car is found to be illegal, the protest fee will be returned and the driver that is found to be illegal will be disqualified and will lose all points and money earned for the night.. Revisions may be made to this rule, if needed, and will be updated here and on our social media pages, as well as the rules for the class. If you have any questions on what is legal or not, please contact the tech man, Wendell Vaughn, after 5 PM, at 918.721.4552. Complete Pure Stock clss rules are available here.
