Night 3 Results - 36th Annual Spooker
With temperatures more like what they are supposed to be in mid-October, night three of the 36th Annual Spooker at Tri-State Speedway got underway at 7:30 PM after hot laps took a little longer than normal due to the amount of cars and the addition of the late models.
After the invocation and National Anthem, heat racing got underway. Night three was round two of qualifying for four classes, with the top eight in passing points from the Super Stocks, Sport Mods, IMCA Mods and TSS Mods locking into their respective A features on Saturday night bejind night two qualifiers. There were also B Qualifiers for the Pure Stocks and the IMCA Stock Cars to determine where they started behind the night two qualifiers. 21 late models also joined us on night three for a complete show.
In the Sport Mods, the top eight from round two qualifying were: Steve Little (97S), Aaron Scroggins (1/4), Dean Green (28), Neil Johnston (17J), Robert Southerland (26H), Ryan Williams (25), Charlie Brummett (B12) and Caden Ellis (84).
In the IMCA Modifieds, the top qualifiers in round two were: Jason Payton (6), Roy Schaberg (7S), Randi Goins (51), Aaron Scroggins (1/4) and Lonny Flanagan (7F).
In the Super Stocks, the top eight in round two were: Mark Williams (89), Robert Knowles (44K), Neil Johnston (17), Ty Evans (5E), Grant Davis (1), H. Palmer (X-15), Andy Morris (127) and Jeff Metcalf (17M).
In the TSS Modifieds, the top eight from round two were: Mike Cook (7C), Gene Nicholas (11N), Brandon Hunter (1/4), Brent Holman (17), Lonnie Robins (X), Randy Henson (10H), Faustin Wilhite (F5) and George Martin (15M).
The Pure Stock A Feature had Dale Richardson (Z28 - Muskogee, OK) picking up the win ahead of Wesley Bourn (5 - Cameron, OK) and Jack Kirby (7K). The 2015 Tri-State Speedway Pure Stock track champion, Chris Perkins (88 - Rudy, AR) finished fourth while Daniel Tarkington (69 - Checotah, OK) rounded out the top five.
The IMCA Stock Car A Feature saw Dale Richardson (326 - Muskogee, OK) take home his second Spooker trophy of the event. Andrew Bohanan (33R - Stigler, OK) and Kyle Slader (18) were second and third ahead of Shannon Cox (75 - Greenwood, AR) and Kyle Stevens (25) in fourth and fifth.
The Friday night late model A Feature was won by Jake Davis (7D - Hackett, AR) ahead of Justin Wells (98 - Aurora, MO) and Cole Wells (10 - Aurora, MO). Eddie Martin (91 - Tahlequah, OK) picked up fourth ahead of Shannon Scott (4 - Henryetta, OK).

The top ten cars from the qualified 16 cars from night two and night three in the Sport Mods, Super Stocks, IMCA Modifieds and TSS Modifieds will redraw prior to their A feature on night four for their A main starting spots. The remaining eight cars needed to fill the 24 car starting field will ve from the best six cars ni their B Qualifiers and the top two car in their last chanve qualifier (LCQ), if needed, on night four.
In addition to all of that racing on night four,Saturday night will also feature another full late model show with heats and features, but paying more to win.
Pit gates officially open at 3 PM on Friday with the grandstands opening at 4 PM. Racing is scheduled to start at 6 PM. Pit passes will be $35 and $20, while the grandstands will be $15, $13 and $8. Be sure to note the earlier start time, bu one hour, so you don’t miss any of the action and to be sure you get a great seat. With the extra crowds expected, we are asking that you only bring stadium style chairs on Saturday night, Seating space will be limited and folding chairs will occupy too much space. We will allow folding chairs on the bottom few tows. We thank you in advance for following this request.
