May 30th, 2020 - ASCS Sprint Cars & 13th Annual Danny Martinez, Jr. Memorial

Written by: Ross Fujibayashi

In front of a packed crowd for the Danny Martinez Memorial races, Grant Davis takes the #1 Factory Stock to victory lane in back to back weeks. It wasn't an easy win for Davis as he went toe to toe with Wesley Bourne for most of the race.

A late race caution almost spoiled the flag to flag lead that Tate Cole had. As the field bunched up, last weeks winner Lonnie Robins, Mike Hansen, and Jared Russell all made a run at the driver from Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Robins got a great run off of turn 4 as they came to the line with Cole sealing the deal and getting the win.

The headliner of the night certainly did not disappoint as the stars and cars of the ASCS Mid-South and Sooner regions came out the the track high up on the hill. Several drivers like the young gun Chase Randall, gave chase to Blake Hahn but he found a line on the top side and never looked back in dominating fashion. A scary wreck from Broken Arrow's Mike Goodman brought out a lengthy Red Flag to remove the car and repair the fence. An obviously disappointed Goodman walked away from the wreck.

In Bmod action Neil Johnston looked to be the class of the field, with Cody KingBrandon Hunter, and Daniel Tarkington making runs early at the #17. A caution bunched the field up and Tarkington made the pass for the lead and led till the checkers getting his first win at Tri-State in 2020.

NEXT WEEK!

The stars from the USMTS come into town for the Juggernaut presented by JRT Trucking.

Huge thanks to the fans and the drivers that came out to Tri-State last night.
