Cole Wins 2 Classes, Vaughn Goes Back to Back and Moses II Wins First
Rob Nugent, Track Announcer
POCOLA, OK (October 3RD, 2015) – Last week’s prediction of the end of summer temps proved to be correct as it was in the mid 70’s at race time and dropped off to the mid 60’s after sunset. Once again, promoter Dan King and his track prep crew had a super smooth five lane track for racing.
The night kicked off after hot laps with trophy presentations and driver interviews for the previous week’s winners on the pass through in front of the grandstands followed by the invocation and a parade lap of the previous winners, as they presented the nation’s colors during the National Anthem.
Heat racing action for the 75 cars on hand was underway at 7:45 PM.
The intermission gave everyone a chance to stretch their legs and get some of the concession food, including $1 hot dogs and some walking tacos plus a Coca-Cola beverage to wash it all down with. It was fan appreciation night on Saturday night and quite a few drivers came up with their cars during intermission for autographs and photo taking with the fans. Several race fans and kids were also the lucky recipients free T-Shirts during the break in racing action.
