Lucas Oil ASCS Sprints Invade Oklahoma!

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (May 26, 2020) With racing starting to get back underway across the Sooner State, two events are on tap to close out the month of May as the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products and ASCS Mid-South Regions are set to square off.

Starting Friday, May 29, Terry Mattox Promotions brings the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products to Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Okla. with the ASCS Mid-South Region joining the lineup son Saturday, May 30 at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla. Both events offer teams $2,000 to win, $300 to start in the A-Feature.

Red Dirt Raceway is located at 990871 S Hwy 18 in Meeker, Okla. Friday, May 29 opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing getting underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT). The Friday showdown includes Limited Modifieds, Non-Wing Micros, and Pure Stocks. Admission is $20 with kids 10 and under free into the Grandstands. Saturday, May 30 at Tri-State Speedway goes green at 7:00 P.M. (CT). The evening includes USRA Modifieds, B-Mods, and Factory Stocks. Tri-State Speedway is located at 1705 W. Race Track Rd. in Pocola, Okla. Admission is $15 for adults with kids 10 and under free into the Grandstands. ? The mighty Tri-State Speedway will be racing this Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 24th! ?

Sunday, May 24th – Regular Night of Racing. Hot laps start at 7pm, racing at 7:30pm
Pit Pass – $30 (Pit Gate Opens at 4pm)
No class entry fees. Must have/rent transponder: $5 plus a driver's license. Raceivers required (not available at the track.)

Grandstands: (Entry Gate Opens at 6pm)
Adults - $10 • Kids – 10 and under Free

Due to adhering of current social distancing rules, we will have limited seating in the grandstand area. Please be understanding if we request your seating arrangement to be adjusted according to CDC/State of OK policies.

• Factory Stock: $300 to win, $30 to start - 2020 Tri-State Rules
• Super Stock/Grand National: $425 to win, $50 to start – 2020 TSS or Area 2020 Rules (must provide a copy of your rules and no mixing of track rules allowed)
• USRA B-Mod: $500 to win, $70 to start - 2020 USRA Rules
• USRA/IMCA Modified: $1,000 to win, $100 to start - 2020 USRA/IMCA Rules. IMCA cars can run USRA spoiler and tire rule.

No USRA/IMCA license required. No points (track or USRA/IMCA) will be issued for any class. Track/USRA points begin at TSS on May 30th.

The Chiller is Coming!

Originally scheduled for last November and being forced to cancel due to Mother Nature, The Chiller Honoring The Rocket Man Randy Russell will make it's debut at the mighty Tri-State Speedway this year on October 31st, November 1st and 2nd, 2019.

This year's event will be a big draw for a lot of area cars offering a big $1,500 to win for the USRA B-Mods, $1,000 to win for the USRA Modifieds and $1,000 to win for the Street Stocks. The Factory Stocks will also be competing for $500 to win, the Economy/360/Sport Mods at $400 to win and the Pure Stocks at $300 to win. All classes will not have an entry fee, only their pit passes.

This year's event will honor the late Randy Russell who we lost just a few months ago. Randy loved Tri-State Speedway and all the drivers and fans. Randy competed with us for many years and he was the originator and founder of the $5,000 to win Super Stock Showdown that has been held every year since 1999. Through his companies, B & F Finance, American Lenders and National Recovery Specialists, he contributed more than can be listed here to the mighty Tri-State Speedway. Just befoer his passing, Randy had started doing interviews with some of our drivers, along with race recaps on our Facebook page.

This event will start with a test and tune session, with free grandstand admission on Thursday, October 31st from 4 PM to 9 PM. Pit passes will be $15 and the stands will be free.

The event continues on Friday night, November 1st with qualifying for the Out=Pace USRA B-Mods along with a full show for the Pure Stocks and the Economy/360/Sport Mods. Pit passes will be $30 for adults and $15 for kids (6-12). Stands will be $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (65+) and free for both kids (10 & under) and all military (with proof of service). Pits will open at 4 PM and stands at 5:30 PM. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 PM with racing at 7:30 PM.

The final night of the event will be Saturday night, November 2nd with LCQ's (last chance qualifiers) and features for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods along with a full show for the Factory Stocks, Street Stocks and the USRA Modifieds. Pit passes will be $35 for adults and $15 for kids (6-12). Stands will be $15 for adults, $13 for seniors (65+) and free for both kids (10 & under) and all military (with proof of service). Pits will open at 4 PM and stands at 5:30 PM. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 PM with racing at 7:30 PM.
